Behavior For Academic Success

Here is a list of behaviors that result in academic success.
Read these over with your child and identify behaviors that need to change. While you're
at it, establish positive and negative consequences.
Student brings required supplies to school every day: pencils,
pens, highlighter, looseleaf paper, white-out, notebooks, books.
Student rarely misses class.
Student is in seat and ready to work when the bell rings.
Student contributes positively to class discussions.
Student stays focused and on task during the entire period.
Student maintains an organized notebook.
Student submits all assignments on time and accepts responsibility for making up
work when absent.
Student writes homework assignments in planner every day.
Student completes homework every night.
Student reviews class notes every night and writes questions out in the margin so
that he/she can ask questions the next day.
Student is polite and respectful toward others. Student does not distract others.
